I was on location in San Antonio, Texas to cover Combate Americas 19: Queen Warriors. The event featured the long-awaited grudge match between Paulina “Firefox” Granados and Kyra Batara. Batara won the bout by unanimous decision behind impressive striking and grappling. Also on the card was Andres “The Bullet” Quintana who electrified the crowd with a second round finish of Rey Trujillo in the night’s co-main event.
I also had an opportunity to speak to notable fighters such as Gilbert Melendez about what’s next for his career and Eric “Goyito” Perez who left the UFC in free agency and will be making his Combate Americas debut in 2018.
